Horizon Health’s Medical Detox Program
Our programs are designed to provide your hospital with medical and clinical behavioral health expertise facilitated in a safe, medically supervised detoxification environment. This includes administering assessments and examinations to identify the physical and behavioral health symptoms that need to be addressed.
Medical Detox Program Options
Inpatient Med Detox Program, with or without IOP, outpatient services
- Designated detox beds embedded on a medical unit
- Utilizes existing medical floor staff; RNs, CNAs to manage detox patients
- Patients are admitted 24/7, if agreed upon by hospital
- Programming is done on more of a one-to-one basis
Dedicated Inpatient Detox Program, with or without IOP, outpatient services
- Fully functional Detox Program located in a designated space in hospital
- All staff specifically recruited to work in program
- Admissions occur 24/7
- Therapeutic Programming (group therapy) provided seven days per week

- Clinical management: Ongoing support to providers (medical and psychiatry), recommendations for labs, medication, treatment protocols, etc.
- Quarterly / annual marketing plans, evaluation of market demographics / existing referral base (if applicable)
- 24/7 intake department
